Gugu Gaga Penguin: Wallpapers (“the app”) is made by Tisa Studio. We care about your privacy and designed the app to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information.
No account, no personal data
The app does not require an account and never asks for your name, email, or any personal details. We do not collect or store personal information about you on our servers.
What stays on your device
Your favorites are saved locally on your device only. This list never leaves your phone and is not visible to us. Deleting the app removes it.
Saving wallpapers to Photos
When you save a wallpaper, the app asks your permission to add it to your photo library. The app only adds the images you choose to save — it never reads, browses, or uploads the photos already on your device.
Wallpaper images & network
Wallpaper images are delivered from our content backend (hosted on Supabase). Loading an image involves a standard network request, during which your device’s IP address is visible to the hosting provider — as with any app or website that loads images. These requests are used only to deliver the images to you.
Third-party services
We rely on Supabase (supabase.com) to host and deliver wallpaper images, and on Google AdMob to show ads. Each of these services processes data under its own privacy policy.
Advertising
The app is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and use certain data from your device — such as an advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location, and how you interact with ads. When you first open the app, iOS shows Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asking whether the app may use your advertising identifier; if you decline, you’ll still see ads, but they won’t be personalized. You can change this any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking, and limit Apple’s own ad personalization under Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. Google’s use of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your privacy rights (EEA & UK)
If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR: to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to restrict or object to its processing. Because the app has no account and keeps nothing about you on our servers, these requests mostly concern data processed by Google for advertising — Google acts as an independent controller, so you can also use its own privacy controls and policy. We rely on your consent as the legal basis for personalized ads; you can withdraw it at any time — the app shows a consent choice on first launch, and you can change ad tracking under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. To make any request, contact us at mohcinebadour@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
International data transfers
The third-party services we use (Google and Supabase) may process data on servers outside your country, including outside the EEA or UK. When they do, they rely on recognized safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Any changes will appear on this page with an updated date.
